The Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties is offering a Basic Mediation Training where trainees will receive 40 hours of instruction in the skills necessary to serve as a neutral third-party mediator, including hands-on experience in mediation and invaluable communication and listening tools that can help in every aspect of people’s work and home lives.
•Cost: The cost for this training is $600 but scholarships are available for those who commit to volunteering. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers are especially needed, and stipends are available to those who qualify.
•Location: This is a virtual class via Zoom.
•Schedule: Class takes place the weekends of March 11-13 and 25-27, 2022 — Friday evenings 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
