Join us for December 13th and 14th for this year's Luminaria! This FREE event features a .8 mile loop trail through the Arboretum's wintery landscape lit by over 1000 luminarias. While on the trail enjoy listening to music from the Arboretum’s Bell Tower and view lighted displays throughout the grounds. Inside you can warm up with cups of hot cocoa, Tree Top apple cider, and Starbucks coffee, all while enjoying live music, children's crafts, and shopping in the Tree House Gift Shop. If you are hungry, Blissful Bites and What I Crave will be parked in our Founder's Courtyard. This year we are also holding a Coat and Blanket Drive. Please bring clean, new or gently used coats and/or blankets so we can help our community stay warm this winter. All donations will be given to organizations that support those in our community in need. Yakima Transit is offering a FREE shuttle from the U-Haul parking lot across the street to the front doors of the Jewett Interpretive Center. You are also welcome to park at U-Haul and walk to the Arboretum. The entrance drive into the Arboretum will be closed to all traffic, except those with passes, starting at 5:00 PM both nights. Those with official handicap parking stickers or pre-arranged Arboretum parking passes can park in designated parking areas at the Arboretum during the event. Please Note: If you have a recognized pass you will not be able to turn directly from Highway 24/Nob Hill Blvd into the Arboretum. To access to the Arboretum- turn into the U-Haul parking then follow the shuttle route back across the street at the stoplight and present your pass at the gate.
