Event Description:
The Yakima Valley Museum hosts this rare opportunity for artists, dabblers, and collectors to learn about the artistry and craft of  traditional Native American beadwork and cornhusk weaving.  Six accomplished artists from the Yakama and Nez Perce Nations will offer demonstrations of their techniques, talk about how they approach their craft, and showcase samples of their work.  Artists include Miles Miller (Yakama), Elza Paula Pinkham (Yakama), George & Doris Strong (Yakama), Robert Taylor (Nez Perce), and Sky Louis Weaselhead (Yakama).   The event is FREE and open to the public. No reservations needed.  From 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Yakima Valley Museum. (This is event was originally scheduled for May 27 but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.)
