Position: Full-time Shred and Information Management Outside Sales Position in Yakima Start Date: ASAP, open until filled About: Columbia Industries, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering people with disabilities, is seeking an outgoing, driven, successful, outcomes-oriented Outside Sales Representative for our fast-growing business, CI Information Management. This businesses specializes in document shredding, offsite records storage, imaging services and hard drive destruction. Under the direction of the Shred Division Manager in Tri-Cities, WA, we are looking for an Outside Sales Representative in the Yakima, WA area to focus on new business-to-business account development for CI Information Management. Duties: The ideal candidate will enjoy prospecting, cold calling, (telephone and in person), setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs, RFP’s, and delivering sales quotes.
Develops target lists and develops methods to strategically penetrate accounts and uncover opportunities.
Performs high quality, accurate sales presentations while representing our brand
Works with management in preparing customer proposals.
Represents CI Information Management at trade shows, Chamber of Commerce and other events.
The Shred and Information Management Departments provide a thorough training program, including product knowledge and development of our company sales process.
Qualifications: High School graduate/GED. Two years of outside sales experience. Performance Requirements: We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will focus on new business accounts. Must have excellent oral communications and people skills. Must have a clean driving record, a current Washington State Drivers’ License and proof of insurance. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screen. Demonstrated ability in managing successful business to business sales and service relationships in an outside sales setting. Strong prospecting and contact management skills. Problem solving skills. Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate. Microsoft Office skills, PowerPoint, Outlook required. Experience with CRM sales software. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday full-time with possible various hours/ days of the week as needed.
