Government Affairs Committee Meeting- May 23rd - Noon to 1pm - BROWN BAG LUNCH MEETINGS - Speaker
Chris Eyler is the Executive Director, Northwest Region for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, he leads the U.S. Chamber’s federal advocacy work with state and local chambers, as well as members of Congress and their staffs throughout the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.  Prior to joining the Chamber, Chris worked for nearly 15 years as a legislative staffer in Washington, D.C. for several members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.  

Chris will be providing the Government Affairs Committee with an update on the U.S. Chamber’s federal legislative priorities, as well as what we can expect from Congress in the coming months.  Among other things, he will discuss the outlook for health care reform, tax reform, and infrastructure.

Government Affairs Committee - Meets fourth Tuesday at Noon in the Mercy Leadership Center at the Chamber - The Chamber GAC initiates participation in Chamber Day in Olympia, the development of alt textLegislative-Business Agendas, Candidate Forums, E-mail Alerts, and other efforts directed at maintaining a business-friendly environment in the state. The Chamber maintains relationships with city and county officials to establish the vital infrastructure needed to retain, attract and grow business in the greater Yakima area.
