Los Inquietos del Norte
Name:
Los Inquietos del Norte
Date:
October 13, 2018 - October 14, 2018

Event Description:
The biggest band in Yakima will be Los Inquietos Del Norte, the regional Mexican band playing the Yakima Valley SunDome on Saturday, October 13th. How big are they? Well, their video for “Mi Amigo De Arriba” has more than 82 million views on YouTube. That’s big. And it’s not their only hit. “Caiga Quien Caiga” has 57 million views. “Locos Desde Ayer” has 39 million. “Maldito Amor” has 32 million.
So what’s the big deal about Los Inquietos Del Norte? In addition to their versatility — they play corridos, rancheras and boleros — they have a vibrant, danceable sound with an energy that’s rare even within the high-energy world of regional Mexican music. And their lyrics, dealing with issues such as overcoming poverty and family strife, resonate with audiences. Like many writers of corridos, they deal with legends and adventure. But they tend to do so with a real-world grittiness instead of romanticized legend.
Los Inquietos Del Norte have released more than 10 albums since forming in 1995, and they’ve honed their live show to a sharp point. Just look them up online and find some concert video. You won’t see anyone just standing there. You’ll see people dancing and jumping and having fun.
They’re the biggest thing in town, and they’re the best!
