Basic Mediation Training

The Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties is offering a Basic Mediation Training where trainees will receive 40 hours of instruction in the skills necessary to serve as a neutral third-party mediator, including hands-on experience in mediation and invaluable communication and listening tools that can help in every aspect of people’s work and home lives. The cost for this $600 training is significantly reduced for those who commit to volunteering. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers are especially needed, and stipends are available to those who qualify. The training will be over the weekends of April 21-23 and May 5-7, 2023, Fridays – 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday/Sundays – 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Class will be available via Zoom and in person as space permits.
