2020 Enterprise Challenge - Registration Deadline

Friday, January 3, 2020 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (PST)

Description

Are you looking to start a business? Or did you just start a business? Well you are in luck! The Yakima County Development Association and Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce are hosting the 2020 Enterprise Challenge Business Plan Competition to help you initiate and improve your business idea. More than 200 entrepreneurs have competed in the competition since its inception and many of which have gone on to start their business in our communities.

As a contestant you will participate in workshops and one-on-one help sessions to develop your business plan with professionals in business planning, marketing, financing, law, technology, and other related topics. These professional services would normally cost you hundreds of dollars for the expertise and one-on-one assistance.

After the workshops and help sessions, plans are submitted to judges who evaluate each enterprise. Community business leaders have been selected to be judges and provide you with insightful feedback on your business plan. Those contestants with the highest scores move on to the next round of the competition.

Semi-finalist pitch their business at the Enterprise Challenge Trade Show where we offer networking opportunities to collaborate with other great entrepreneurs and receive local media coverage. Moving onto the last round, finalist will present their business plan to the judges and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Single Hill Brewing on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

First place winner of the Enterprise Challenge receives $10,000, second place winner receives $5,000, and third place winner receives $2,500.
